Magic is the art and science of changing consciousness at will.
-- Dion Fortune

This site explores how people change. It contains stories, theories, myths and poetry about human transformation. I have selected material that has proven useful in my own quest for growth, and has impacted others. Open your mind, read a selection, and work your own magic.

Healing Metaphors

The use of metaphor, often in conjunction with a light state of trance to help the process of transformation.

Archetypes and Mythology

Myths are ancient stories that enact archetypal themes allowing us to become conscious of them. Great myths inspire people across times and cultures. They can represent the battles and desires deep within our psyches, just as they did for their original audiences.

Quotations

Words of wisdom from various sources. Psychological, political, stuff I find on the web, stuff I take out of books. Don't miss these. .

Other Sites of Interest

I send out a weekly list of interesting web sites with a few words of commentary on each one. I plan to make an archive of these lists available here on the website in the future.
