Lunar Eclipse at Mt. Able:
The Aftermath

16 July 2000

As usual, click on a picture for a full sized shot.

_briteyed.jpg (8464 bytes)_hammock.jpg (9570 bytes)What is the proper response to the mindbending experience of getting up at 4:00 AM to watch the moon sink into the earth's shadow while rising into the sunlight while setting below the horizon?

_eyespy.jpg (11545 bytes)_noseitch.jpg (12057 bytes)Of course we weren't at all punch drunk. What? Of course not! Our noses itched!

_hygene.jpg (9875 bytes)I waited for a hot shower when we got home--but Justin felt the need to attend to his personal hygene while still camping. That bottle in Lynn's hand is the only spring water you'll find at Mt. Abel. It's a dry camp ground.

_sonset.jpg (8040 bytes)This is why I do these things, it's not realy the eclipse, not really the pine trees or the fun photos, it's Justin (stay tuned for future adventures, including Rachel!). I only get one of him & he's a teen already! Gotta make the most of the time we have until he really does know it all.
